I think god instructed us in a way trough the bible to keep these things in order to be reminded of the great deed he did for us.
Like when the israelis left Egypt and kept the celebration in rememberance of them beeing freed from captvity.
In my opinion it should be a positive habit we cherish.
And it brings healing and structure too – in a very positive way.

The song that follows me nearly every day right now:

There´s a secret I must tell – of all the love I´ve found

And it´s hidden in my heart – the day you tore my world apart

Halleluja, king forever, friend and saviour

JESUS BLOOD NEVER FAILS ME

And this secret it will run – to the corners of the earth

Where every woman, every son – will carry high their chains undone

Halleluja, king forever, friend and saviour

JESUS BLOOD NEVER FAILS ME

Sing your songs of freedom, praise the god of heaven, love that never fails me – Jesus blood, Jesus blood.

(Delirious)

For The Institute Of Contemporary And Emerging Worship Studies, St. Stephen’s University, Essentials Red Online Worship History Course and Dan Wilt

There are so many aspects that need to be pointed out when thinking and writing about historical sources of worship.

Above all: The strongest thing in my opinion, that really touches something special in our soul and in heaven (like you touch a string) is singing.
There is something incredibly powerful about it (like often quoted in the bible, we should be joyful and sing songs of praise).
And as I have experienced it, especially when you feel unable and too broken to do it, if you overcome you experience a breakthrough.

Speaking out words (skriptures, prayers) openes the opportunity to take place (of the enemy) – like in battle to fix our point and gain area of the enemy – there is something happening in the visible and invisible world.
Apart from this, if people overcome and speak (the right) things out,
it´s a positive declaration over their life.

The bible often challanges us to speak (I want to focus on the positive effectes of speaking in this context):
Proverbs 31.8: „Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…speak up and judge fairly.“

I love to read out of the bible in a loud way, even focussing on how to pronounce the words in a right way.

I count it to one of the most important treasures in my life, that we repeated verses in kings kids (while I still was a child) over and over.
Now, I remeber these promises I have heard (especially in rough times).

What impresses me the most (and points out the importance of repeating and learning verses of the bible) are stories of persecuted christians. Brother Andrews (leader of open doors) visited churches that owned only one bible. And so the people shared the pages and just learned the verses.

There is also something very strong about these historical chorals.

To finish: The church members need to be encouraged to speak out loud, what is on their heart, what god tells them, (even if there is the possibility to speak out wrong things).
In my opinion the big area for the future is the prophetic one.

For The Institute Of Contemporary And Emerging Worship Studies, St. Stephen’s University, Essentials Red Online Worship History Course and Dan Wilt

I grew up on a farm in a very beautiful area in upper austria. Singing was the thing that was always on my heart and as I grew up as a christian and was part of the austrian kings kids team, this desire grew.
I also felt a deep love for piano and harp (as I admire David as he comforted and encouraged and fought with this instrument).

However my way lead me to many other directions, util 3 years ago – than I started studying music and journalism in vienna.

The most important time in worship happend during my stay in switzerland – YWAM – where I did a PCYM school.
I stayed in the worship room for hours and just played piano and sang and there god really blessed my voice – so when I sang god really opened things and there is something special about my voice, because god blessed it.
During this time I also started to lead worship.
And than god opened other doors in the worship area in my church and I got the chance to lead and be part of the team there.

During the last years I really felt a strong emphasis on: Healing rain, open doors (prophetic) and „real“ worship (no fake at all).

To finish with: I love the prophetic promises and news god provids for us and puts on our hearts as worshippers and musicians: The doors are opened!

„You be lifted high in my life oh God.

And I fall to my knees that they see, not I,

…this is an inspiration taken out of Michael W. Smiths song:

„Come see, the doors are open - Come see, his arms are open“

And it leads to some very important promises out of Isaiah 45:

„This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

I will go before you and will level the mountains;

I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places,

so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.

I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.

I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,

so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.

I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster;

I, the LORD, do all these things.

You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down.

Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it;

I, the LORD, have created it.

These last verses build a great line to the following song:

„Healing rain is falling down“

…remembering the valleys we have to walk through.

Ever strong:

„You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains,

you raise me up, to walk on stormy seas.

I am strong when I am on your shoulders,

you raise me up, to more than I can be.“ Selah

My desire:

„You must increase, I must decrease lord,

I bow down and you will be adored.“ (Matt Redman)

I find my place in serving you.

„Be the king of this heart“ (Matt Redman)
